August 13, 2009: Please be sure to read and sign the syllabus and library disclosure forms your students will be bringing home. Students will be expected to read silently and independently the books of their choice at the beginning of each class period. Students can check out books from the library or bring their own books to school. I also have an extensive library in my classroom. However, many young adult books contain some mature language, situations, and content. Therefore, students must have the library disclosure statement signed in order to borrow books from classroom library. Please be sure to regularly talk with your student about what he or she is reading and please let me know if you have questions or concerns about particular titles.
